NOVEMBER 11
MISPLACED DEPENDENCE CAN BORDER on idolatry. If you let your basic well-being depend on another person’s behavior, your life may come to resemble a roller-coaster ride: subject to his or her whims and moods. Even worse, your intimacy with Me will be hindered by your preoccupation with someone else. I deserve first place in your heart!
Be mindful that every good gift is ultimately from Me, even if it comes to you through human hands.
MEDITATION:
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
—James 1:17
“But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.”
—Revelation 2:4
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
—Philippians 4:4-7
TODAY:
Seek God’s kingdom first by following Jesus’ footsteps here on earth. God’s grace, love and presence guide us on the righteous path. Our thoughts, emotions and actions determine our outcome.
PRAY:
Father in Heaven, You are my top priority and the center of my spiritual and physical reality. By the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling in me, I AM filled with an overflowing abundance of strength, peace and joy. I pray in Jesus name, amen!

It is beneficial that our heart, mind and soul be totally and enthusiastically devoted to the Lord in thought, in feeling and in the greater consciousness.
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
—Psalms 139:23-24
